Welcome to World Geography
This year in Geography we will be focusing on physical geography, we will be looking at the distribution of natural resources, climates, ecosystems and how human actions modify the environment and how the environment has affected humans. We will be learning location of countries, major cities, bodies of water, and landforms. We do look at cultures, but do not delve deeply.

Unit 1: Geographic Tools and basics Unit 2: USA and Canada Unit 3: Mexico and Middle America/Caribbean Unit 4: South America Unit 5: Antarctica and the Southern Seas Semester 2 Unit 6: Europe and Russia Unit 7: Asia Unit 8: Africa Unit 9: Australia and Oceana Unit 10: Iowa and the Midwest The Semester Tests have a cumulative map portion, a content portion, and may also include a presentation/ project to help students demonstrate learning in multiple ways. Students do not need to complete 1st semester to take 2nd semester. |
